Lamb Biryani


Ingredients:

Lamb/mutton 1 lb
onions 1 big sliced
tomatoes 3 chopped
ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
green chillies 5-6
garam masala 3 tsp
mint leaves one handful
coriander leaves one handful
yoghurt 2 tsp.
salt
long grained rice 1 cup
turmeric powder 1/4tsp.
water 2 cups

Method:

1. Fry the rice in ghee for 5 mins. Keep aside.

2. Heat the pressure cooker and add 1 tbsp. of oil. Add ginger garlic paste and saute till raw smell disappears.

3. To this add sliced onions and green chillies and saute till they are golden brown. Add the chopped tomatoes to this and saute again for 3 to 4 mins. Once the tomatoes and onions are sauted well and started to combine, add mint leaves and coriander leaves and stir again for a minute.

4. Add salt, turmeric powder and garam masala to this mixture. Stir for 2 mins.

5. Add the cleaned and cut lamb pieces into this mixture and stir really well so that the mixture combines with the meat well. At this time add yoghurt and stir again.

6. Add 1 cup of water to this and close the lid and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.

7. Once it is done, remove the lid and add the fried rice to this and add the remaining one cup of water and close the lid and again pressure cook for 2 whistles.

8. Serve with any non-veg gravy and onion raita.
