Fried fish in coconut milk



Ingredients:

fish 1 pound (any fish but i made in tilapia)
onion chopped 1 medium
tomato 1 chopped
turmeric powder 1/3tsp.
salt
oil 2tsp.
coriander powder 1tsp.
chillie powder 2tsp.
coconut milk 1cup thick
garlic 10 small cloves/ 5 big cloves
cumin seeds 1tsp.
mustard 1tsp.
curry leaves little
tamarind juice

To marinate:

salt
chillie powder 2tsp.

Method:

1. Cut the fish into medium size pieces. Add salt, turmeric and chillie powder and marinate for 15mins.

2. Take few chopped onions, garlic, cumin seeds, mustard and curry leaves and crush it coarsely.

3. Fry the marinated fish in hot oil so that it should not be too crispy. Keep aside.

4. In the remaining oil add chopped onions and the crushed mixture and saute till the raw smell disappears.

5. Add all the dry powders and stir for a minute. Now add salt, tamarind juice and coconut milk.

6. Once the gravy starts boiling add the fried fish pieces and cook till 10-15mins.

Serve hot with rice.
