Tomato pickle


Ingredients:
Tomatoes 1/2kg
salt to taste
red chillie powder 3 or 4 tsp.
garlic 10 cloves finely chopped
hing little
turmeric powder 1/2tsp
methi powder 1/2 tsp.
gingelly oil 2-3tbsp.

Method:

1. Grind the tomatoes to a very fine paste.

2. Heat gingelly oil in a kadai and add the tomato paste and all the ingredients i have mentioned above into the kadai.

3. Allow to cook. Once the paste becomes little thick reduce the flame. Stir often.

4. Turn off the flame if the oil separates from the tomato paste. Cool this and pour into a bottle.

You can mix this pickle in rice and have with any curry. Also this is a good sidedish for idlis, chappathis...
