Chow chow masala curry


Ingredients:

chow chow 2
ginger garlic paste 1 tsp.
toor dal 2 tsp.
salt
coconut 3/4cup
aniseeds 1/2tsp.
red chillie powder 1tsp.
garam masala 1/2 tsp
mustard seeds 1/2tsp.
curry leaves

Method:

1. Heat a kadai and cook toor dal with necessary water. Once the dal is half cooked, add chow chow which is cut into cubes. Add little salt while cooking.Once the dal and chow chow got cooked take from the flame and keep aside.

2. Now in a blender add, coconut and aniseeds and grind to form a fine paste. Keep this aside.

2. In another stove heat a pan and add mustard seeds. Allow to crackle. Add curry leaves and ginger garlic paste. Saute it till the ginger garlic paste becomes a golden brown colour. Add the cooked chow chow- dal mixture to this.

4. Add the coconut paste also to this and add chillie powder and garam masala. Stir well so that all the masalas and the coconut paste mixes well with chow chow. Allow to cook for 3 mins.

5. Turn off the flame and serve as a sidedish for rice.
