Pumpkin channadal curry


Ingredients:

pumpkin 500gm
channa dal 1/2 cup
coconut grated 1 cup
turmeric powder 1/2 sp.
chillie powder 1 sp.
pepper powder 1 sp.
cumin seeds 1/2tsp
garlic 3 cloves
salt

Method:


1. Pressure cook channa dal for 3 whistles.

2. Cut pumpkin into medium size pieces. In a pan cook pumpkin with little water and salt. Pumpkin cooks faster. So check often so that it should not cook more.

3. Grind the coconut to a paste along with turmeric powder, chillie powder, pepper powder, cumin seeds and garlic cloves. Keep aside.

4. Add the cooked channa dal to the cooked pumpkin. Add the coconut paste and salt to this and mix well. Allow to cook for 5-10mins.

5. In a small pan add oil and mustard seeds. Once it crackled add curry leaves. Pour this to the curry. Mix and serve.
