Green Apple Pickle:






Ingredients:

Green apple -1 chopped
Gingelly oil (Sesame oil) - 1 table spoon
Salt as needed
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Methi seeds - 1/4 tsp
Chillie powder - 1 tsp
hing - 1/4 tsp

Preparation:

1. Dry roast the mustard and methi seeds in a pan and grind / crush it to a fine powder.
2. Pat dry the moisture in the apple with a clean tissue.
2. Heat gingelly oil in a pan and add the mustard-methi powder, salt, chili powder and hing and mix well in a low flame until the raw smell disappears and a beautiful aroma of the powders comes out.
3. Turn off the heat and let it cool for sometime and then add the green apple pieces. Mix well and keep aside for 2-3 hours. 


Good to have with curd rice.
