Greengram dal curry


Ingredients:

greengram dal 1cup
salt
coconut grated 1cup
turmeric powder 1/2tsp
chillie powder 1tsp
garlic 2 cloves
cumin seeds 1/2tsp

Method:

1. In a blender add the grated coconut and all the remaining ingredients except salt and grind for 10 sec. so that it just mixes and half grinded. Keep aside.

2. Pressure cook greengram dal. Open the cooker after sometime and heat again. Add salt and the grinded coconut mixture to this and stir well.

3. Cook for 2 mins so that the raw smell of the powders disappear.

It is a good sidedish for rice and rasam. Since we add no oil to this and greengram is a healthy cereal, really it is a healthy and tasty dish.
