Chappathi


Ingredients:

Wheat flour 1cup
salt
refined oil 3 tsp
hot water

Method:

1. Take 1 cup of wheat flour and add salt and mix thoroughly with hands so that the salt spreads evenly in the flour. Add oil and mix well again.

2. Boil water and add to this flour little by little. Mix well and knead to make a thick soft dough.

3. Make rounds of equal sizes and spread using rolling pin.

4. Toast in a medium hot tava by adding little oil/ghee. When the both sides are well cooked, remove from the tava. Serve hot with vegetable or chicken gravy.

Tip: While spreading, if you spread into thick small sheet and pour ghee or coconut oil and spread the oil using your hands and fold the four sides to make a square shape and then spread again. Toast this chappathi. If you do like this your chappathi comes softer and layer.
