Keerai vada


Ingredients:

Leaves of drumstick tree - one handful
Urad dhal - 1/2 cup
salt
onion chopped - 1
curry leaves - 5 leaves

Method:

1. Grind urad dhal and take in a bowl. The flour must be thick so that while frying it absorbs only little oil.

2. To this flour add chopped onions, chopped curry leaves, leaves of drumstick tree (murungai keerai) and salt and mix well.

3. Heat oil in a kadai. Take this flour in the shape of vada and fry in oil.

Note: Grind the flour in the grinder. Then only the vada will be soft. If you grind in the mixie the vada will be hard to taste.

Some children doesn't like the taste of this leaf when prepared as curry. So if we make vadas like this, they will eat this as a snack.
