Coconut Cookies




Ingredients:

wheat flour (King Arthur) 1cup
coconut shredded 3/4 cup
butter 5 tablespoons
sugar 1/2 cup
milk 1 tsp (if necessary)
vanilla essence 1/2tsp.

Method:

1. Pre-heat oven to 360 degrees.

2. In a mixing bowl, add flour and sugar and mix well with hands. Add butter (room temperature) to this flour and mix really well.

3. Add shredded coconut to this and mix well again so that the flour forms a thick dough. If the dough is really thick, you can add a tsp. of milk to this.

4. Make small balls out of this dough and press the ball placing in between your palms and place it in an ungreased baking sheet.

5. Each cookie must be placed one inch apart from the other cookie. Because while baking it expands.

6. Place it in the pre-heated oven and bake for 15-18mins, till the corners are brown.

7. Let it cool. Adding coconut to this cookie adds a very nice flavour. I can say, this will be kid's favourite.
